Dr. Kristin Metcalfe
Dr. Kristin Metcalfe has extensive experience in vegetation ecology in the Northern
Territory spanning over 20 years, during which time she has worked in both scientific
research and private enterprise. She has undertaken numerous flora studies,
vegetation mapping and assessment projects for Environmental Impact and
Monitoring studies. Dr Metcalfe's doctoral research included biodiversity surveys,
plant growth studies and rehabilitation trials within mangrove ecosystems in Darwin

Adam Bourke commenced working at EcoScience in 2011 and brings over a decade of Top End field experience in biological science to the practice. He has expertise in mangrove ecology and monitoring from his professional background and post graduate studies on the impacts of boardwalks on mangrove fauna. Adam has held management positions in both pearl farming and aquaculture with 3 years’ experience farming barramundi east of Darwin. Adam has extensive laboratory experience and is highly skilled in invertebrate taxonomy and photography. He is committed to mangrove ecology, conservation and is writing several publications on mangrove invertebrates.
Carmen Walker joined the EcoScience team in 2012 as a field biologist. She has completed
her degree at Charles Darwin University qualifying in 2013 with a Bachelor of Environmental Science. Carmen's professional environmental experience includes - geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping; vegetation monitoring; flora and fauna surveys of both native and introduced species. Her research experience was primarily focused on terrestrial and intertidal carbon. She is passionate about mangrove ecology and rehabilitation.
